Amy Levad is Assistant Professor of Moral Theology at the University of St. Thomas, where she has been teaching since 2008. She holds a PhD in Ethics and Society from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Her research focuses on justice from philosophical, theological, and moral perspectives. Her books include Restorative Justice: Theories and Practices of Moral Imagination (2011) and Redeeming a Prison Society: A Liturgical and Sacramental Response to Mass Incarceration (2014). Levad has also taught theology in women’s prisons and helped to create a theology certificate program for women incarcerated in the Metro State Prison in Georgia.
