The oldest complete Torah scroll re-discovered in Bologna
Professor Mauro Perani talked with us this morning by telephone from his office in Bologna. He spoke about his re-discovery of the world’s oldest known complete Torah scroll, the paleographical details and radiocarbon testing conducted to confirm its antiquity, its relationship to the Aleppo and Leningrad codices, andĀ its place in the history of medieval Hebrew scholarship.
