Christopher M. Driscoll

Christopher DriscollChristopher Driscoll is a contributor on the MRBlog and Visiting Assistant Professor at Lehigh University in the Department of Religion and an Africana Studies Program affiliate. He received his Ph.D. in religious studies from Rice University in 2014. His research interests include white religious beliefs and practices, theory and method in the study of religion, race, religion and culture, existential thought, and hip hop culture. Christopher is co-founder and co-chair of the American Academy of Religion’s “Critical Approaches to Hip Hop and Religion” group. His first monograph, White Lies: Race and Uncertainty in the Twilight of American Religion, under contract with Routledge, is scheduled to be published in 2015.
