Kevin Ward was associate professor in African Religious Studies in the University of Leeds from 1995-2014. Before that, for over twenty years, he lived and worked in East Africa, mainly working as a theological educator in the Anglican Bishop Tucker College, Mukono, in Uganda. He has written extensively on Christianity in East Africa, including studies of revival and religion, and on religious attitudes to sexuality.
