Elizabeth Urban (PhD Chicago) is Assistant Professor of the Islamic World at West Chester University, and was previously Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Middle Eastern History at Williams College and Madeleine Haas Russell Visiting Assistant Professor in the Islamic and Middle East Studies Program at Brandeis University.
