Before joining the faculty at King’s, he carried out post-doctoral research as part of a European Research Council funded project, “By the Rivers of Babylon: New Perspectives on Second Temple Judaism from Cuneiform Texts.” In 2012 he published Prophecy in the Ancient Near East: A Philological and Sociological Comparison (Brill) and an edited the volume Mediating Between Heaven and Earth: Communication with the Divine in the Ancient Near East (T&T Clark).
