Susan Einbinder

Einbinder, SusanSusan Einbinder is professor of Hebrew & Judaic Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Connecticut.  She is the author of Beautiful Death: Jewish Poetry and Martyrdom from Medieval France (Princeton 2002) and No Place of Rest: Jewish Literature, Expulsion and the Memory of Medieval France (Philadelpha 2009).  She is currently at work on a project on trauma and collective memory that treats Jewish responses to the environmental, epidemic, and social crises of the first half of the fourteenth century.
