Saskia Coenen Snyder

She is the author of Building a Public Judaism: Synagogues and Jewish Identity in Nineteenth-Century Europe (Harvard UP, 2013). Her current book project, tentatively titled, Diasporic Gems: Diamonds, Jews, and Nineteenth-Century Global Commerce, explores the nineteenth-century diamond trade and the role of Jewish communities in it.
